Toto dielo nech slúži pre duchovnych vodcov a tych, co sa staraju o duse,
bude pomockou pre ich misiu,
lebo opisuje roznorodych ludi, ktori sa pohybovali okolo mna a roznorode prostriedky,
ktore som pouzil, aby som ich zachranil.
Lebo bolo by to blaznovstvom pre vsetky duse pouzit tu istu metodu.
Umenie a sposob, ako priviest spravodliveho cloveka k dokonalosti,
ku ktorej chce aj on sam dospiet,
su ine ako tie, ktore clovek pouzije pri veriacom cloveku, ktory je hriesny alebo
ktoré by sa mali pouzit pri cloveku, ktory je pohanom.
A vy mate pohanov vo velkom mnozstve pri sebe.
.. vy, ako vas Ucitel, sa divate na tychto pohanov ako na biednych ludi,
ktori praveho Boha nahradili bozikami MOCI a ODVAHY; ZLATA, NECISTOTY a PYCHY na svoje vedomosti.....
A opat inac sa zachrani nejaky moderny proselyta, ktory sice prevzal krestanske myslienky, ....ale nepatrí do cirkvi.
Nepohrdajte ziadnymi,
a najmenej zabludenymi ovcami.
Milujte ich a snazte sa ich priviest spast do stada,
by sa prianie Pastiera vyplnilo.
